History

N2Care was created as a result of founder Kenneth Dupin’s pursuit of dignity and reverence for our aging population. In 2005, while pursing a doctoral degree in international management at the International School of Management in Paris, France, Ken’s studies took him to Japan, the Middle East, several European countries and Central America. While observing the cultures and people, he noticed a discrepancy.

Aging is revered in these cultures. Family members bring their aging parents into their homes for the final stage of life with financial responsibilities shared by all siblings. There is seemingly little fear from the aging parents and little resistance from the caring family. This is a major cultural difference since aging parents in the U.S. are often considered a solvable problem rather than an honor.

With changing family structure and lifestyles over the past century, research demonstrates that end-of-life care is emerging as the most pertinent concern for the baby boomer generation. Boomers have a particular fear of being isolated from family and institutionalized in the final stage of life. Consequently, there is a need in the market for an innovative alternative to care for the aging population unlike any current options for end-of-life care.

In studying this topic, Dupin concluded there must be an alternate solution for our society that would be emotionally satisfying yet affordable. In response, he founded N2Care with products designed to provide solutions that work with our unique culture while alleviating the concerns of aging seniors.
