Transforming the way we view senior care takes visionary leaders with passion, dedication and experience.  Each of these traits is evident in the leadership team assembled to help realize the N2Care mission.  Team members were sought for their talent and experience but more importantly because of their passion to see N2Care succeed. Kenneth J. Dupin

Founder and CEO

Ken is the passion and vision of N2Care. He gives direction and leadership to the overall operations and performance of N2Care. He is the point man for the leadership team, implementing the strategic goals and objectives for the organization. He maintains and energizes corporate vision and planning and serves as the link to investors and the advisory board. In just three years he has charted a course and transformed the MedCottage from an academic notion to a new medical product.

Ken has more than 25 years experience in non-profit administration, including organizational goals, capital procurement, financial oversight and membership development. His education credentials consist of a certificate of advanced studies from Temple University School of Business and Law in Tokyo, a master’s concentrated in diplomatic studies, and a bachelor’s degree in organization management. He also has background in biblical studies as an ordained minister and is presently completing a Ph.D.

 


Susan K. Conn

Director of Operations

Susan ensures the vision of N2Care is carried out in all areas of operation, including design, production and distribution. She institutes procedures, cost analysis and timelines to ensure the smooth functioning of all strategic goals. As director of operations, she serves on the leadership team and provides direct support to the CEO. Susan joined N2Care at its inception with 13 years of administrative and management experience in a dynamic environment that experienced phenomenal growth in market share and revenue. Susan earned a bachelor of arts degree from Anderson University. She has also worked in the hospice and social service industries.

 


Bret Berneche

Director of Manufacturing Operations

Bret directs manufacturing and quality adherence operations. He works directly with the design team to assure best practices are incorporated into MedCottage. As director of manufacturing operations, he also serves on the leadership team. He has served as CEO of Alouette Holdings, Inc. and CEO of Cardinal Homes, Inc., a manufacturer of modular homes in Wylliesburg, Va. He has served as a director to five U.S. corporations and three Canadian companies. He also is a director of the National Association of Home Builders and has served as the chairman of the Building Systems Council. He is a board member and trustee for the Halifax County Regional Hospital Systems. Bret is fluent in French and is a protégé of Mount Allison University commerce program in Canada.

 


Dr. Jackie Scruggs

CFO

Jackie directs all aspects of N2Care’s finance and investor relations. She oversees fiscal management and all matters related to financial accountability. As a member of the leadership team, she participates in developing N2Care’s strategic goals and business strategy. Prior to joining N2Care, she worked 30 years in the electric utility industry and most recently as an administrator and faculty member at Averett University and Bluefield College. She is a member of the Board of Trustees at the Roanoke Higher Education Center and Board of Trustees member at Mary Baldwin College. Jackie has a Ph.D. in business administration, master’s degree in liberal studies and a Bachelor’s degree in business.

 


Dr. Janis Terpenny

Systems Engineering

Janis provides leadership in areas of design and engineering. Her focus for N2Care is assistive technology, robotics and systems engineering. In addition, she serves as spokesperson on matters concerning assistive technology and grant coordination to the National Science Foundation and other agencies. She is a Professor with a joint appointment in the Departments of Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Education and an affiliate faculty of the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Virginia Tech.  Prior to serving as a professor of engineering at Virginia Tech, she worked for one of the world’s leading multi-national corporations. Janis has a Ph.D. in industrial and systems engineering, a master’s degree in industrial and systems engineering and bachelor’s degree in mathematical sciences. Janis also is the Director of the NSF Center for e-Design, a multi-university industry cooperative research consortium.

 


Mark Fitzgerald

Director of Architecture & Design

Mark focuses on the strategy and design of the technical components and unifies them into a coherent and functional package. He oversees research of the assistive devices and assures quality through technology development. Mark has expert knowledge in AutoCAD and has an extensive background as an architectural technician. He has specialized experience in designing health care and senior-living facilities. His expertise also includes floor plan management and implementing layouts. Mark has a degree in civil engineering and architectural technology.

 


Kimberly A. Martinez

Director of Knowledge Management

Kim manages the intellectual property for N2Care. She oversees matters relating to copyright, trademarks, and patents. Kim is a published author in the academic journal International Academy of Business Disciplines owing to her research regarding senior adult issues and the growth of the baby boom healthcare industry. Kim is fluent in Spanish and continues to work as a volunteer in developing regions of Central America. She has a master’s degree in liberal studies with a concentration in social science and a bachelor’s degree in modern languages.

 

Account Executives

The N2Care sales force works with clients to ensure their goals are met and objectives achieved for the care-giving environment of loved ones.  They work closely with the customer service department to ensure a seamless installation process.

Tammy Dupin

Director of Sales and Marketing, Account Executive

As the director of sales and marketing, and account executive, Tammy aims to see each N2Care customer has a personalized experience based on excellence and satisfaction. For the past six years she has directed efforts at a non-profit organization, where she defined new processes and launched new ideas in human relations and operations. Tammy started with a team of 20 volunteers that grew to more than 300. Along with her non-profit work she manages several real estate properties. Tammy has a degree in psychology and human service.

Faith has a rich business heritage with 12 years of experience. She specialized in financial management and operations.  Faith has a commitment to excellence and a sincere desire to provide exceptional service for N2Care clients.
